Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the United States demonstrated notable trends in downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride saw strong weekly downloads, starting at approximately 400K and fluctuating slightly before peaking at around 431K in early March. The app's active users began the quarter at nearly 10M, dipped to about 8.8M mid-quarter, and then climbed back to surpass 10.6M by the end of March.

Lyft experienced a similar trend in weekly downloads, starting at 292K and reaching a high of 303K in mid-March. Active users showed a steady increase from around 4.2M at the beginning of January to over 5.4M by the end of March.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a consistent weekly download rate, hovering around 140K throughout the quarter. Active users displayed slight fluctuations, starting at 2.5M and ending at approximately 2.4M.

Lyft Driver had relatively stable weekly downloads, beginning at 43K and maintaining similar levels throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, starting at 540K and ending at around 532K.

Lastly, Bolt: Request a Ride showed a modest download pattern, starting at 38K and fluctuating around the 30K mark. Active users followed a steady trend, beginning at 48K and stabilizing around 41K by the end of March.
